This is the list I have been waiting for, and it includes three New York Yankees players: A-Rod, Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera. Go American League!!

And SEVEN Boston players – Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, Kevin Youkilis, J.D. Drew, Jason Varitek and Jonathan Papelbon.
Sometimes, a Yankees fan forgets to mention other teams that are representing the AL in the All Star Game.
Hmmm…didn’t the Tampa Bay Rays beat the World Champion Red Sox badly??? Yep, they swept the series.
Hahaha!!
Hell-O! The all-star game is a pure vote of popularity. Of course there will be plenty of Yanks and Sox, they have the most people in the city voting for them. You seriously want to tell me with a straight face that Jeter deserves it this year?
Of course, we all know Jeter is a god-sent to the Yankees!!!
It’s ridiculous.
Wajigma,
What team do you root for? Just curious.
I’m a Red Sox fan (dad’s from Boston, I’m his firstborn . . .), but even I say they have too many players in the all star game.

Also, in the Sox-Rays series this year, no team has won on the road. It’s 6-6, all twelve games won by the home team.
I hate to admit this, but the Red Sox are having a good season. I grew up in the Baltimore suburbs, and my parents are O’s fans with the exception of my dad who converted to the Yankees in 2000, after persuasion from his darling daughter. I would have hoped they would have placed more O’s on the All Star Roster this year and more Rays players.
Thanks for the correction on the Sox-Rays series.
No prob. I live in Maryland, so I know what’s it’s like for people to root for the O’s, and then go over to the dark side.
The dark side is much more fun! Besides, it is a lot of fun to storm into Camden Yards decked in Yankees gear. The O’s fans have always had some sort of affection for our team.
As with Red Sox gear. Especially when cheers of let’s go red sox are stronger than let’s go o’s.
How bout sox fans taking over Yankee stadium the other night!
No comment. I will admit that I attended one Red Sox game against the O’s…it was hysterical to see the Sox fans outnumber the O’s.
