  3. And SEVEN Boston players – Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, Kevin Youkilis, J.D. Drew, Jason Varitek and Jonathan Papelbon.

  4. Sometimes, a Yankees fan forgets to mention other teams that are representing the AL in the All Star Game.

Hmmm…didn’t the Tampa Bay Rays beat the World Champion Red Sox badly??? Yep, they swept the series.

  5. Hell-O! The all-star game is a pure vote of popularity. Of course there will be plenty of Yanks and Sox, they have the most people in the city voting for them. You seriously want to tell me with a straight face that Jeter deserves it this year?

  6. I hate to admit this, but the Red Sox are having a good season. I grew up in the Baltimore suburbs, and my parents are O’s fans with the exception of my dad who converted to the Yankees in 2000, after persuasion from his darling daughter. I would have hoped they would have placed more O’s on the All Star Roster this year and more Rays players.

Thanks for the correction on the Sox-Rays series.

  7. As with Red Sox gear. Especially when cheers of let’s go red sox are stronger than let’s go o’s.
How bout sox fans taking over Yankee stadium the other night!
