Daschle Pulls His Name Out of the Nomination Process

How can you forget to account for a chauffeur and a car? Ask Tom Daschle, who recently withdrew his nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services. It appears that Daschle has tax-itis, a disease that has been plaguing most Obama nominees lately. Timothy Geithner had it, now Daschle, and finally, Obama’s Chief Performance Officer (whatever that means) Nancy Killefer have this disease. With the recent revelations, which part of Obama’s deck of cards will fall next? And, is it that hard to file your taxes and account for everything?

In honor of Daschle’s withdraw, I would like to honor him with a vision from the past. Among Washington’s BMWs and Limos, Tom Daschle drove a cheap, beat up Pontiac. It is funny how times change, but how a statement from the end of campaign commercial rings true: “a penny saved is a penny earned.”

  1. Oh, come on. No Fair!

You know that junker was towed away after shooting that commercial for being illegally parked! The fines amounted to more than the car was worth.

The limos were, uh,….a better alternative….they,….uh,…uh,….left a smaller carbon footprint,…yeah, and…and…they,…um,…like stimulated the DC economy. Yeah that’s right.

    Get with the program.

  2. Red Haired Temper

Hahaha! Did they find a bottle of Jim Beam Black underneath the seat of that Pontiac? Oh shit…That was Ted Kennedy’s car. Damn!
