Traitors do not belong to the GOP

Ronald Reagan once said, “Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican.” This was the implied 11th Commandment, and I know that I am long guilty of bashing the GOP during the first bailout. However, today’s vote on the Stimulus bill in the Senate validates my reasoning on why I am not going to be supportive of three Republicans. In fact, they are no longer Republicans, as they defected and became traitors or Democrat-Lites.

Olympia Snowe (ME), Susan Collins (ME) and Arlen Specter (PA) should all be kicked out of the Republican party. They no longer stand for the principles of limited government and fiscal accountability. Additionally, they should face strong conservative opponents, who believe in these core principles.

Our party is not the place for those who do not stand strong to the tenets of being strong fiscal stewards. Our party is not the place for those who turn their backs on the principles of life and liberty either. Hopefully, the REAL Republicans will stand up against the compromised version of this horrid legislation.

  1. Hear, hear. 30 pieces of silver for each of the three Dems in wrinkly, tusky drag.

  2. I am going to go a little easier on Spector, Collins and Snowe and just say they should be primary’d out…Wait,…what?……That’s just as harsh as CCC?…Sure,…okay. Besides, the “11th Commandment” does not apply to Party nomination contests.

  3. I would like to say ostracized from the rest of the GOP, so they don’t catch the liberal bug.

  4. Add Charlie Crist to the list.

  5. Check! Should we add Arnold Schwarzenegger to the list as well?

  6. The Eleventh Commandment does not apply to these three. It only applies to Republicans.

But, even then, the Eleventh Commandment no longer applies to the GOP. Reagan would not recognize ANY of these lily-livered week-kneed pansies. No principles until they can’t affect the outcome. Where was all this “principle” when they were in power?
