Obama to U.S. Veterans: "No Health Care for You"

The disastrous first 100 days of President Obama’s administration will be marred by the following: bailouts, AIG scandal, Stimulus and Omnibus, proposals of universal health care, and now, the possibility of eliminating veterans health care. So far, Obama will be sending us into a black hole of doom that have massive impact on all of us, as well as future generations. Excuse me, while I am preparing for a huge Republican comeback in 2010 and 2012, because Obama is the worst President since Jimmy Carter’s Administration of Doom back in the late 70s and early 80s.

Now, for the most recent addition to the 100 days agenda, Obama has decided to cut costs in the wrong way by proposing a plan that will force veterans to pay for their own medical treatment and rehabilitation from injuries they received during their military service. Why would our President slap our veterans in the face? Obama wants more money to fund more government spending.

This is generating some fire from legislators on both sides of the aisle coming out against Obama’s plan, knowing that this will place more strain on members of our military coming home from Iraq with serious injuries. According to CNN, Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) has said this plan would be “dead on arrival,” and Rep. Mike Michaud (D-ME) said he would oppose the budget package if this was included.

It is a shame that Obama has no respect for veterans and their sacrifices for our country. We have a moral obligation to care for those who have been in harm’s way while serving our country; not exploiting them for cash.

  1. Thanks C3 for blogging this! Sen. Webb and Warner need to be taken to task on this one.

  2. Both Rep. Glenn Nye and Senator Webb actually spoke out against President Obama’s proposal. Here is the link.

  3. Dude! He dropped this idea like a hot potatoe! *S* check it out – http://www.yuriar.com/politics/?p=152

  4. That’s not really true. President Obama has always supported our Veterans and his budget has been more than fair for us.

  5. Actually, come to think of it…President Obama’s budget for the VA is larger than President Bush’s was. Former President Bush had made some big cuts as I remember to veteran’s programs.
