Mark Sanford: The Right Choice
My good friend, Chris over at Mason Conservative has a great post up about South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford and how great he would be as a candidate in 2012. The more people hear about Sanford’s devotion to fiscal economic issues, along with his strength to hold Democrats to the fire, the more they are beginning to see how he would make a great leader for the Republicans to rally around in 2012. As most of you know, I enthusiastically support Mark Sanford in his bid to become President.
Listen to Sanford’s TV ad for Carolinians For Reform. He succinctly explains what is currently happening in Washington will damage the future generation’s chance at fiscal prosperity.
Governor Mark Sanford: Recent days have been difficult in our state and in our country. Many families are struggling with challenges we’ve not seen in our lifetimes. Some say the solution lies in more government spending and deeper debt. The truth is, more tax dollars will be spent in our state this year than ever before. But there must be a stopping point. Going further into debt will not solve a problem that was created by too much debt. There must be a price that we will not impose on future generations. For me, the easy thing would be to accept money handed out from Washington. But the easy thing isn’t always the right thing. We’ve proposed a budget that responsibly addresses our state’s critical needs, without more debt. To get there, we have to finally restructure the broken ways our government operates. There is a better way than saddling our children with massive debts. That’s what I’ll continue to fight for.

I join you in supporting Gov. Sanford. He seems like the real deal. He says what he believes and believes what he says. He is concerned about dumping all of this debt on his kids and mine. He is honest enough to state that all of this stimulus money is an unfunded mandate that will blow up the local and state budgets in just a few years. He is being ridiculed for looking down the road and giving us a head’s up before it is too late. I admire his honesty and guts to stand up for what he believes in. Go, Mark, Go !
I hate to break it to you two….its going to be Mitt Romney. Sanford is only good with the talking points.
