Black Velvet Bruce Li has a great post about how Rep. Gerry Connolly’s popularity has plummeted, as he continues to refuse from hearing constituents outside of gated communities. Yesterday, Connolly held a town hall meeting at Heritage Hunt Retirement Community in Gainesville, and he was greeted by protesting constituents, who want their Congressman to hold an open forum to discuss health care reform. Since Connolly was elected by the people in his district, wouldn’t one think he would be accessible to answer questions about a health care plan that could possibly place us under a dangerous public option?
