Apple Dumplings

Today, I put those wonderful Cortland apples from Baugher’s to good use and made Apple Dumplings using my Mom’s recipe (now, it has been passed down the line to both my sister and I).  Growing up, I always knew the sign for fall was the wonderful smell of these dumplings baking in the oven.  It was great to also spend the time with my Mom and learn about the history behind each of the recipes that were passed down through the generations.

Since the recipe has been passed down the line, I asked if I could share it with my readers. Of course, this is under wraps…so, let your imagination roll and try to create a version of these fabulous apple treats. ;-)
