Tax or Not to Tax–What is the answer, Creigh?
When will Democratic candidate for Governor, Creigh Deeds, stop flip flopping around whether or not he will raise taxes? At last night’s debate, Deeds said that the ads running against him on his tax increase stances are not true. Deeds did make comments about raising taxes. He did so after the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce debate, and it was if he was proud of making the remark.
Our economy is in a downward spiral, and we need more pragmatic solutions than raising taxes to address boosting our revenue.

TOLL ROADS proposed by Bob McDonnell are a form of tax.
His pledge to hand over the operation of our roads and our Port of Virginia to multinational operators, is an outright looting of Virginia’s assets.
Republicans never have real solutions. They tell us that the “market” will solve our problems, when all that means is that our jobs are going to be moved to Communist or low labor rate countries.
Why does the White working class keep supporting the Republicans when the Republicans treat the working Whites with such utter contempt?
Creigh Deeds speaks the truth when he says the only workable solution will have to be worked out between the two factions in our Assembly. The Republicans think that Virginians are too stupid to understand that the Assembly is where the plans are hammered out between the two main parties.
I think it was pretty restrained of the McDonnell campaign to cut this clip before Mr. Deeds rounded on the female reporter in yellow.
She asked about whether he would raise taxes or not, and he said “I think I made myself clear, young lady”.
Well, he didn’t make himself clear, and speaking patronizingly to a woman doing her job looks mighty funny when he was up to his neck in ads saying McDonnell puts women down, even if his choice of words in addressing the reporter was merely a rural southern convention.
