Rumor Has It: Janet Oleszek is Running for State Senate
Perhaps, this should bring back memories. In 2007, Janet Oleszek ran against Ken Cuccinelli for the State Senate seat in the 37th District. She made many miscues, including the infamous response during one debate of “I have to waffle.” Even The Washington Post said at the time she was “embarrassingly short on substance.” Now, she wants to run for the seat again.
The question is: Will Janet have to waffle again?
I have a feeling this could come back to haunt Janet once again.

You mean, “the rumor that you just created has it”? She would only run if she had no primary opponent, and it looks like more than one Dem is interested.
The word I get is that while there are Dems looking at the race, Janet “Hoot” Oleszek will not be running for the seat in the special election.
I have heard, from a reliable source, that Janet “if I only had a brain” Oleszek is the running for the seat and most likely to be chosen since she came so close to beating Ken last time. Republican candidates are gleeful at the prospect of her candidacy.

I did not make this up. If Oleszek is not running, then she can email me and I’ll make the correction. Until then, this story stays.

The big question, though, is whether or not she will bring back the Yorkshire terrier (a.k.a. her then campaign manager Jonathan).
I met her during the 2007 campaign when she spoke at my congregation (and I blogged about her talk back then). She’s a nice lady, but definitely a couple of filaments short of a light bulb.

Krystle, good work. I heard this a couple months ago and NLS has mentioned hinted at it in the past.
Also rumor has it that Dave Marsden is house hunting in the 37th so he can run.
I assumed from NLS’s references in Twitter to Marsden’s house hunting suggested he was looking at doing the Carpetbagger thing. However, and for whatever it is worth, I have been told by fairly tight Demos that Hoot Oleszek is not running.
