Good news coming from NY-23, as Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race on Saturday afternoon. This is a victory for conservative Republicans, as they have effectively forced a beneficiary of ACORN and a liberal Republican out of contention.
The Politico reported that Scozzafava was trailing both the Democrat, Bill Owens, and the Conservative Party candidate, Doug Hoffman. Since Scozzafava dropped out, the National Republican Congressional Committee and Republican National Committee have come out in support of Hoffman.
Perhaps, this should be a signal to the RNC and NRCC that they need to start endorsing candidates who embrace the party’s core principles of limited government and fiscal accountability.

It should send a message to the Republicans in upstate NY to hold a primary/convention. You shouldn’t have your committee chair selecting the nominee. It should be the choice of the party and not one person!
