Carpetbagger Alert: Del. Dave Marsden Declares Candidacy for VA-37

Well, well, well…it has only been a matter of time before I would have to write about another carpetbagging candidate in our midst. In my home State Senate district (VA-37), Del. Dave Marsden, who does not live in the 37th has declared his candidacy for the open State Senate seat. The Washington Post’s Virginia Politics blog reported this on Thursday, but I wanted to share my thoughts on the matter.

First and foremost, Marsden only won by a whopping 209 votes in his House of Delegates re-election bid. Evidently, the residents of the 41st District felt that he did not do a great job for his margin of victory to be so close.

Now, Marsden feels he is ready for a promotion to be a State Senator in a district where he does not reside. What does he know about the issues impacting our district?

This is just another prime example of a carpetbagging candidate at its finest. He’ll do anything to win (check out NLS for his true feelings of Marsden), even if that means moving into another district.

Giuliani Rumored to be Considering Senate Run

Fox News reports that former New York mayor and one time Presidential candidate, Rudy Giuliani, is considering a run for U.S. Senate in New York.

This does not surprise me, but I think Giuliani would be better suited to challenge current N.Y. Governor, David Paterson. The Governor’s race in New York is could be winnable for the GOP considering the unfavorable opinion of Paterson.

On the other hand, I can see Giuliani in the Senate. There is no doubt that he would drive the liberals crazy in the U.S. Senate.

A Transparent Federal Reserve is a Start

This morning, I was reading the Wall Street Journal, when I came across an op-ed written by Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) that I found particularly interesting. You see, I have been quite outspoken about my desire to see the Federal Reserve eliminated (hopefully, in my lifetime, I will see this agency gone), because the agency was supposed to protect the value of our currency, yet the dollar has lost nearly 95% of its value. Full transparency is needed at the Federal Reserve level (and I believe transparency is needed with all branches of government, with the exception being anything that compromises our national security), and both Paul and DeMint argue this point eloquently in their op-ed.

Another good point that this op-ed brings up is how the Federal Reserve Chairman, when testifying before Congress often provides vague answers, instead of addressing the questions about how Federal Reserve is complying with mandates of prices and employment. Both Paul and DeMint call for an audit of the Federal Reserve by saying that there is a need to find out where the money is going, the numbers and types of securities purchased, and the amount paid for those securities.

In coming weeks we plan to offer companion amendments to legislation already before the House and Senate that will open the Fed up to a complete audit. The amendments set a six-month time lag on the publication of previously unreleased audit data to address the Fed’s concerns that actions undertaken in support of monetary policy would immediately be politicized. The transcripts and minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee meetings would continue to be made public at the Fed’s discretion, with unpublicized details of meetings not subject to any additional scrutiny. Finally, the amendments make clear that the purpose of the audits is not to interfere with or dictate monetary policy.

As strong opponents of government intervention into the economy, we do not want to see Congress directly dictate monetary policy. But while the Fed is involved so heavily in monetary policy and its actions so heavily influence the future of our economy, it is necessary that it be fully transparent. Interventions into the economy on the order of trillions of dollars cannot continue to escape public scrutiny. American taxpayers deserve better.

Exactly, both Paul and DeMint hit it on the nail. American taxpayers deserve better, and we deserve to see exactly what is happening with our currency. This is the type of transparency that is needed at the Federal level, and it is one step closer to an open, more efficient government.

Another Beer Summit

This idea has been floating out there. Besides the disgraceful “shout-out’s” attached to Obama’s remarks on Nidal Malik Hasan’s act of radical Islamist terrorism in perpetrating the Ft. Hood masacreAnother statement was also interesting:

  • We don’t know all the answers yet, and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts.

in contrast to Obama’s words regarding the Henry Louis Gates incident:

  • The Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home.

Notwithstanding the Islamic prohibition of alcohol, maybe Obama should gather some more facts by having Hasan over to the White House for another beer summit.

It's Official…Crystal Clear Conservative is Running for Congress!

Dear Friends,

After much thought and consideration (especially after looking at the direction of our country…thanks Recovery.gov for confirming my suspicions), I have decided to run for Congress here in the hypothetical 51st District. The residents of the 51st District need a voice, who will be a thorn in Nancy Pelosi’s (and President Obama’s) side every day (and I mean every day) by speaking for Constitutional adherance, liberty, and promoting solid free market principles.

Currently, our country has a national debt of $12 Trillion and climbing. Our government keeps spending your taxpayer dollars in wasteful ways on certain earmarks that provide no true benefit to people in the 51st or anywhere for that matter. We can do better by cutting corporate tax rates, eliminating pork barrel spending, and reducing the tax burden on working families.

Additionally, our liberty is at stake. Under the Obama Administration, we are seeing more government appointed czars to control every aspect of our lives. Is this what our Founding Fathers intended for our country? I say no! I would fight to eliminate the Patriot Act, REAL ID, and fight to keep the government out of your life by voting against any legislation that would encroach upon your Constitutional rights.  Plus, Rep. Ron Paul needs another liberty warrior in Congress.

Please vote for Krystle to represent you in the 51st District. You can learn more about me by checking out my website, Crystal Clear Conservative, and my plans for reforming America. Trust me, I want you to send me to Congress, so I can provide a Crystal Clear voice for Life, Liberty, and Property.

Sincerely,

Krystle

Lastly, if there were a 51st District in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I would be outspent and working hard to listen to the concerns of my residents.  Since the Obama Administration messed up big time on Recovery.gov, I am taking full advantage of their stupidity by running this segment.

Sarah Palin & Dick Envey

Since this week is the Palin media extravaganza, let’s have at it…

Recently, former GOP pooba, Dick Armey expressed his envy of Sarah Palin:

  • So she’s kind having to dig herself out of a hole if she wants to regain standing for consideration for a future nomination. And by all accounts, it doesn’t appear she’s doing a very effective job of digging herself out of that hole.

Alright, this is not so bad.  At this rate, there is plenty of ambiguity for those that do not want to believe that people like you have put her in this hole.  It is interesting to note that Dick has a hole on his mind.

  • I think she’s probably a person of greater ability than what she’s given credit to. She probably has more sense than what she’s given credit for. But I do think there’s this whole perception-is-reality thing right now, and she’s got a terribly, terribly rough row to hoe if she’s ever going to regain some standing and make her competitive.

Thanks for propagating that reality, Dick.  Frankly, Dick is inadvertently practicing a great pick-up technique.  Is that what he is really up to, here?

  • And they don’t have a lot of time for someone who stands removed and says, ‘Right on.’ They’re not looking for a cheerleader; they’re looking for a captain of the team.

Okay, that’s it!  The fact that cheerleaders are on his mind, proves it!  This is an attempt at a Tea Party Movement pick-up!  To think that I was all set to say that Dick was just jealous because he’s old news;  because everyone in the world knows who Sarah Palin is; and because no one knows Dick Armey from Penis Navy.  I was going to say that there are too many instances when the GOP eats its young…and…and…well, someone here is trying to do that.

On another related note, here’s the latest cover of Newsweek:

Nice.  Now, besides providing Dick with some spanking material (in case he missed that issue of Runner’s World), we all know what’s going on here.  Now what kind of commentary can we expect?  How about: “Oh, no one’s going to take her seriously if she poses for pictures like that.  Besides, look at how the world looks at the United States after our President has done all that gay pornography.”  So is Sarah still in the hole?

Way to Stay Classy, Governor Kaine

It appears that Governor Tim Kaine’s idea of staying classy is insulting members of the General Assembly.   So much for going out with dignity in tact.

A Threatening Population Trend & A Call To Action

Guest Post by al Shaitan:

This is a sobering video on the impending direction of the world’s population and culture:

A Call to Action:

  1. Infect the women of the Islamic culture with good-old fashioned Western feminism (or the plain female entitlement mentality rife among so-called “conservative” women).
  2. Watch Muslim women become obsessed with shoes, vapid celebrity culture, and unfulfilling careers.
  3. Watch Muslim women hold off marriage until their careers are comfortably established.
  4. While establishing careers, watch Muslim women ridin’ dirty become defiled by the likes of Bill Clinton and his ilk
  5. Watch the rise in “honor” killings, severely reducing the female Muslim population,  thus eliminating any demographic threat

Check out Keith Fimian's New Website

Keith Fimian has released a new website, and I must admit that I like the clean simplicity of the site. I am definitely excited to see Fimian’s new media efforts over the course of the next year.
