Will Dave Marsden Support Tim Kaine's Budget?

If Dave Marsden’s record as Delegate is any indicator, there is no doubt that Marsden will be likely to support outgoing Governor Tim Kaine’s budget. As reported before, Marsden voted in favor of Kaine’s $2 Billion tax increase in 2008, which is especially odd considering that the taxes coming from Northern Virginia would receive less from Richmond.

Why is Kaine considering the tax increase (which is ironically $2 billion as well)? Could it be from the overly optimistic budget projections from his administration?

Marsden should do what’s right by coming out and taking a stand on whether or not he would support the tax increase proposed by Kaine. Residents of the 37th District, especially in the current economic climate, can not afford the possibility of tax increases.

  1. Right now in Fairfax County there is a special election between two candidates for the Virginia State Senate. Voter turnout will be very low. Both candidates must contact the party faithful by mail, phone, and in person. And whoever does the best job will win.

It all boils down to campaign volunteers. And liberty-loving patriots need to help STEVE HUNT win this race. His opponent is incumbent Delegate Marsden, who’s got a long record of trampling on your rights.

The only chance we have is between now and Election Day on Jan 12. Our newly elected Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli, won this same seat in a special election, and then went on to win reelection twice. Whoever wins this time around will probably keep getting reelected as well.

Please volunteer through Steve’s campaign website. The address is http://www.stevehunt.org/involved/volunteer.php
