Could Virginia's Term Limits for Governor be ending?
Cato at Delmarva Dealings writes that Bob McDonnell is proposing the end of a one-term governorship. In a practice that has gone back to the time of Thomas Jefferson, why so quick to eliminate term limits?

I’d be in support of that, even though it might mean a Republican could serve a second consecutive term for the first time. But most Virginians are so sick of elections every five minutes, this would cut back on the craziness.
Another alternative would be to just hold elections on even-numbered years like most other states.
Dudeman needs to take his ADD medicine.
Maybe then he would realize that this is a discussion of term limits and not the frequency of elections which would be unaffected by the proposed measure.
@CCC: I hope you are not suggesting that Jefferson was wiser than Bob McD?
