Scenes from the Blair House Project
The White House held the infamous “Blair House Project” (or health care summit, for those who want to be politically correct) yesterday. There was heated debate between the Republicans and Democrats about how to address the health care plan. Currently, the Democrats are prepared to “go it alone” to get this monstrosity (I term it as a monstrosity, because basically, we will all be placed under government health care) passed and signed into law.
Throughout most of yesterday, I was partially keeping track of Twitter to find some crazy one liners and news from this event. The most insane comment goes to Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) for her comments, where she deems domestic violence as a “pre-existing condition” and prepare yourselves for this one…talking about a constituent’s need for dentures and possibly resorting to using a dead relative’s teeth. Reminder…I am not making this shit up.
Then, there was a smack down that ensued. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) took President Obama to task for the health care bill. Basically, it sounded like a rematch of the 2008 elections.
With all of the debates and hijinks taking place yesterday, it leaves one to ponder if Congress and the White House will ever embrace a health care plan that does not compromise liberty and damage the free market economy. Currently under the Democrat controlled Congress and White House, we are unlikely to see any improvements for health care, rather there will be more people hurting and struggling for quality coverage.

I guess my question is this: CCC, are you 1) inable to listen and thus comprehend basic english or 2) grossly and intentionally misrepresenting what Rep Slaughter said?
Slaughter was specifically speaking out against treating domestic violence as a pre existing condition and showed that 8 states consider it to be so. No where did she support that practice. Contrary to what you said, ‘she deems domestic violence as a “pre-existing condition.’” So either you are an idiot that cant speak or comprehend english, or you flat out lied. Pick one.
and by ‘inable’ i mean ‘unable’
Wow, local gop…you are in a bad mood. Let me explain this for you. I have the right to shed light on their stupidity. I am not an idiot, so lighten up!
there is a difference between ‘shedding light’ and lying. you lied, period, end of story. and if you didn’t lie, you have no ability to comprehend the english language. she specifically called the practice of 8 states considering domestic violence ‘capricious.’ She never once claimed that that practice was right, or that she supported it. yet, presumably after you watched the video, you claimed “she deems domestic violence as a ‘pre-existing condition.’” you are putting words in her mouth and blatantly clandering what she is saying, probably for no other reason than she has a D next to her name. I am sick and tired of people intentionally mis representing the truth for political points, and you did that. Now, instead of reading this blog and believing what you say at face value, I guess I’ll have to start filtering what you say.
Further, what about her comments on pre existing conditions are ‘stupid?’ Do you consider domestic violence a pre existing condition? Maybe you do support that and that’s why you are trying to ‘shed light on her stupidity’ for speaking out against that practice. at the end of the day you either lied, didnt watch the video and made wild claims and accusations, or you cant comprehend english. I am inclined to go with option b, you just saw a D and began looking for something to trash her on….nice move.
And you do not have a right to lie. it is immoral, wrong, and unethical. especially for someone that people go to for news and current events information. yes, you have a right lean, but none the less you stretched toe truth beyond the realm of simple politics and blatantly went into slandering and lying.
Gee…this was a satire post, and I can comprehend English. I also have the right to ban your comments too. I won’t do that, because I consider myself compassionate and merciful to some extent. You can think what you want, and I can write what I want.
I will go ahead and take your comments into consideration for a future post.
CCC, it appears your post has inadvertently triggered some deep trauma for local gop. The best thing for us is to reach out. Local gop, please call these people because they should be able to help:

200 grande,
yes, you triggered something in me…..my hatred of liars.
local gop,
Get over it! This is now part of the past…you need to move on! I did not lie…and I will stand by this post. You have the right whether or not to read this blog. If you continue the attacks, you will be banned from commenting.
local gop,
I guess you hate politicians or those who might tell you “little white lies.” This is bull**** and you know it!
CCC:
calling you out on a lie or a statement that grossly stretches the truth is not an attack, it is a check. if it were not for watch dogs (i dont consider myself to be one personally but i do call people on grossly mis stated facts and in some cases lies) there would be a lot more mis information out there than there already is.
you may not have ‘lied’ in the most literal sense of the word, but you certainly stretched the truth to the point where it was not acceptable, at least to a reasonable person.
I am over it, the only reason i responded is because your cohort decided to personally attack me.
And for the record, I do hate it when pols do this, and I will call them on it in any way I can. When Bulova pulled that crap on Herrity I called her on it, when Marsden pulled that crap on Hunt I called him on it, and when when Deeds called that crap on McDonnell I called him on it. I dont have a blog to get my opinion out, but I certainly voiced it to people that I came into contact with.
Integrity in reporting, no matter how opinionated that reporting is, is crucial to society and should be policed to a reasonable extent. I wasnt out to get you, I just happened to see a gross misrepresentation of the truth and brought it to your attention.
It’s a cruel world. Do you need to be held?
like i said ccc, your cohort cant seem to back off and let it die.
