Coasting to Victory…
I know I might be premature in this prediction (and it’s not even Labor Day yet), but things are looking really good for Robert Hurt in the 5th Congressional District. According to a recent Survey USA poll, Hurt is ahead of Rep. Tom Perriello by 16 percentage points. With this huge margin, Hurt is on his way to victory in November if this momentum continues.

A lot can happen between now and election day. Rumor is afoot that the Administration has an October surprise of some sort up its sleeve, so don’t count Tom Perriello out.
I miss Virgil Goode. He would have made this race worth paying attention to. Hurt is just another Bush Neocon-style, corporate mouthpiece. At least Virgil sounded like somebody from that neck of the woods.
Maybe Virgil Goode will run for some other office. He is a good man, regardless of his Party affiliation and he would do great things for Virginia.
