Well, this has literally been a crazy week. Good thing, the weekend is here or I might turn into an angry pumpkin.
I registered for the Leesburg 20K a few weeks ago, vowing to be more in shape than the Nike Women’s Half Marathon, which was painful and trying.
Last week, I completed 10 miles of running. I had three solid days of running, but I skipped my long run due to spending most of my morning at the car dealership stressed over my car’s battery nearly exploding and passing the state inspection. The biggest laugh was that I forgot my running shoes, because I could have gotten my long run in by simply heading back home.
This week, I was busy with work. I missed both nights of run club, and I lacked serious motivation. I guess I truly need the rocket up my butt to spur action. I also need to find a partner to help motivate me for the long run.
How do you get motivated for the long run? Also, being in the DC metro area, does anyone know of a good group to join for weekend long runs?
