Congratulations Texas!
As much as I hate writing such a post, I do this to celebrate for a team that has never been into the World Series. While I am a die-hard Yankees fan, I have to admit that it’s pretty cool to see the Texas Rangers have a chance of becoming World Series champions.
God Bless Texas! Go Rangers…make Nolan proud!
27 World Series Championships Later…

Decided to Stop Tweeting During Sporting Events
I am making the wise decision to lay off tweeting (i.e. Twitter-ing) during the Redskins, Yankees, and Capitals games from now on.
Why? I am invoking the curse of Crystal Clear Conservative on all of these teams causing loss after loss. It just seems like a phenomenon lately…something that I am starting to notice (must be the former social worker in me).
Oh yeah, tidings of great joy…MARYLAND WALLOPED WAKE FOREST!!! LET’S GO TERPS!
Yankees to miss playoffs for 1st time since 1995
The New York Yankees will miss the postseason for the first time since starting their run in 1995. Mike Mussina pitched five shutout innings to earn his 19th win, Jason Giambi homered and the Yankees beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 on Tuesday night.
I am now in a state of Yankee Depression, and since I will not cheer on a National League team, I guess I will be cheering for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
