Awww…Snarlin' Arlen, I guess being a Democrat is NO fun!

It has only been one week since Sen. Specter defected to the Democratic party.  Shall we take a look at how Arlen is doing since the switch?  Now, hold on for a second, I need to grab my Crystal Ball.  Arlen says, “Life is horrible, these Democrats (especially Dirty Harry) shoved me in the locker and stole my lunch money.”   Why is that?  Let me guess because Arlen Specter supports Norm Coleman, instead of his fellow Democrat, Al Franken or that he opposes card check legislation.  So, the Senate Democrats punished him for going against their agenda.

The real reason is that the Senate Democrats have decided not to give him seniority status on the Committees that he serves on, thus giving him freshman status all over again.

Wow, not only did he lose his seniority, his political destiny might be destroyed by someone in his new party…Anyone say Joe Sestak.

I guess being a Democrat is no fun, Arlen.  Don’t come back to cry on our shoulders, as we have no sympathy for traitors.

Why did Snarlin' Arlen Switch Parties?

He was desperate to save his political career. You see, Specter is a classic example of what the GOP does not need, and for once, I am glad to see him go back to where he rightfully belongs. However, Specter knows that he has alienated his base, and by switching, he might have the chance to get re-elected. Specter also abandoned the core principles of fiscal responsibility and fighting for limited government. In a sense, he was a unprincipled hack.

But, who’s waiting in the trenches??? That’s right…Pat Toomey. Toomey is a true conservative, who will fight tooth and nail against Obama’s fiscal policies. The polls show that Specter is trailing Toomey by 20%, which does not look good.

Au Revoir Arlen Specter, and I hope you will enjoy your status in the minority (if re-elected) in 2010.

Arlen Specter is switching parties…FINALLY!

Breaking news: Sen. Arlen Specter (PA Liberal) is switching parties from the GOP to the Democrats. All I have to say is “Bye bye now…hey, hey Goodbye now”

More to come later…

Snarlin' Arlen will be challenged by a likely foe

The Politico reports that Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) will be challenged for re-election by a likely foe, Pat Toomey, who is currently the President for Club for Growth.

Hey Pat, let me know when I can send my first donation! Specter needs to go!
