Ken Cuccinelli's Speech at the RPV Convention
At the Republican Party of Virginia Convention yesterday, Ken Cuccinelli gave one of the most impassioned speeches detailing his devotion to life, liberty, and property, as well as, protecting and preserving the Constitution. Cuccinelli won the nomination with 65% of the overall vote, and there is no doubt that he can win in November. He will lead by principle.
On a side note, many supporters were at the Convention waving Gadsden flags during Cuccinelli’s speech, which are a symbol of American independence and liberty (i.e. “Don’t Tread on Me”). It was so breathtaking to turn around from the mini studio, where I was about to interview Rep. Eric Cantor to see the flags flying proudly.
I am glad that Ken Cuccinelli stands for the core principles of life, liberty, and property, and I look forward to helping him the McDonnell-Bolling-Cuccinelli ticket coast to victory in November.

It's 2:35 a.m.
After a long day yesterday of traveling down to Richmond, experiencing a CoverItLive meltdown, and touring the hospitality suites, Crystal Clear Conservative will hopefully *fingers crossed* have a live blog tomorrow for your enjoyment via Cover It Live. In the meantime, it is off to bed, as we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.
However, here is a recap from the first day of the RPV Convention. There was supposed to be a rules challenge, which did not occur, and Kay Coles James was appointed Chair of the Convention. We heard from Rep. Rob Wittman and Rep. Bob Goodlatte, who energized the crowds today and urged unity within the party. Both the CRFV Chair, Kate Maxwell, and YRFV Chair, Mike Hardy both addressed the audience by saying that we are going to work hard to retain a Republican majority.
Tomorrow, I will be adding pictures to this post, but also, blogging more from bloggers row.
RPV Convention Evacuated
The RPV Convention delegates were evacuated briefly due to a fire scare at the Coliseum this afternoon. It last approximately ten minutes and delegates were given an all clear to come back into the Coliseum.
RPV Convention Open Thread
Since the RPV Convention will be taking place tomorrow, I have decided to create an open thread. Go ahead and voice your opinions. Do you think there will be drama in tomorrow’s Rules Committee meeting?
I will be at the Convention tomorrow, and beginning at 1 p.m., there will be a live blog on CCC, in addition to <a href="http://twitter.com/live tweets from yours truly. Additionally, there will be video, which you can find on my YouTube channel.
